Capgemini Announces Strategic Partnership with Badgeville to Transform Business
This morning, Capgemini, the global strategy and transformation consulting organization of the Capgemini Group, announced that it has selected Badgeville as a strategic partner to leverage innovative gamification techniques to accelerate digital transformation in major organizations by engaging, rewarding, and motivating employees and customers.
With more than 120,000 people in 40 countries, Capgemini is one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services. Together with its clients, Capgemini creates and delivers business and technology solutions that fit their needs and drive the results they want.
Leading up to this partnership, I sat down with Maggie Buggie (@maggiebuggie), Vice President of Digital Transformation UK, to discuss the decision of one of the world’s leading global consulting firms to seek out a gamification solution and partner with Badgeville.
Why is gamification and behaviour management important to Capgemini?
MB: Cultural change is a key element of our Global Digital Transformation agenda. Increasingly our clients cross sector are acknowledging the need to address and drive behavioural change as part of the cultural shift to a digitally enabled, change ready organisation. People and transformation management intensity are key to unlocking the digital advantage as evidenced by our recent empirical research on Digital Transformation with MIT. This partnership adds to our capability and underpins our global leading position in Digital transformation.
What are the benefits your customer can expect to see by adding a Gamification program?
MB: Our customers will be able to scientifically drive behaviour change within an enterprise. Our experience in Cloud, CRM, Enterprise Performance and Social enterprise means we can quickly integrate with the business and deliver tangible outputs. Our tried and tested methodologies in architecting and delivering digital transformation combined with our global outreach helps us achieve desired business value to our customers. Enterprise gamification is a key part of our integrated proposition.
What are the top trends you see in 2013 for Digital Transformation?
MB: We have a well publicised view point on this. “How†you approach and deliver digital transformation is as important as “What†you do. What distinguishes the “digerati†from the rest of the pack is that they exhibit digital maturity and have successfully unlocked increased business performance through digitally enabled transformation.  2013 will see a wider gap emerging between those that are successfully driving their business through digital and those who are not, and are therefore getting left behind. Addressing behavioural change through enterprise gamification is a key part of both building eEnterprise innovative capacity and unlocking the digital advantage.
Why is Capgemini partnering with Badgeville?
MB: The Badgeville Behaviour Platform is unique in that it leverages game, social and reputational mechanics (often referred to as gamification) to drive behaviour change within organisations. Their experience, way of working and software expertise fits well with our culture and further underpins our innovation in this space.
How will Capgemini leverage Badgeville’s Behavior Platform?
MB: Our approach to digital transformation is business led in reflection of our deep understanding of CXOs challenges and opportunities. We will work with Badgeville to provide end to end gamification solutions and services to our clients as part of our integrated digital transformation proposition. We will blend in a unique delivery approach that will change the way businesses think of cultural change and crucially, will shorten the time to benefits realisation.
Is there anything else you would like to add about this announcement?
MB: We are very excited about this partnership and are confident that our association will drive additional value to our clients and their customers. It’s the beginning of a new game in Digital revolution!
